Tell me, why you won’t dance? Borne out of a series of dreams and improvisations, alt pop track "green was the color", by twin sister duo maeve & quinn, traverses two sides of a woman’s psyche relative to love and desire, sung by two voices — the side that reflects, and the side in the heat of the moment, bringing past and present together in the same frame. The tension of cross-fading emotions – the dream and reality of a relationship – drives the two voices into surreal interplay, a prismatic dance between shifting perspectives.
